PSS PTA welcomes you

Meetings are held the second Wednesday of every month, at 6:00 pm in the teacher's room.

What is the PTA?
We are glad you asked! The Paul A. Smith School PTA is responsible for sponsoring many activities throughout the school year. Many of these activities support the school's effort in keeping lines of communication open between parents and teachers. Other activities include recognizing school staff for their efforts, and raising funds to purchase playground equipment and educational materials for the classrooms, such as computers, televisions, printers, software, etc.

Our t-shirt sale is ongoing throughout the school year. For order form, please visit the office.

Blue Ribbon Award
The Blue Ribbon Achievement Award is presented to New Hampshire schools that demonstrate outstanding volunteerism. This program is for all public and private schools. This is to recognize the extraordinary efforts of school volunteer coordinators and there volunteer teams. This was Paul Smith School 6th year receiving this award.

For all volunteers please sign our volunteer book. This is located on a table across from Wee deliver. Anything from baking, cutting Box-Tops, and/or reading is considered volunteering. So count those hours. Any questions do not hesitate to contact a PTO member.

Wee Deliver Program
Wee Deliver is a program designed to promote literacy. It provides real life skills within the school. Second grade students become the post office "employees" with job duties and responsibilities. Our school becomes a town, the classrooms become streets and the student's desks are houses on the street. There are many ways the post office can be used. Students along with their parents, teachers and staff can write to other students, teachers or staff. "Writing" can include greeting cards, invitations, drawings, little notes, etc. We will again be able to send mail back and forth between the two elementary schools. Please remember that Paul Smith School is Paul Smith School, NH 03235 and Bessie Rowell School is Bessie Rowell, NH 03235. This is an in-school program and all mail must only be mailed at our schools. Stamps can be found at the main entrance of either elementary school. The mailboxes can be found at the "Post Office", and all ends of the school. Your child would love to get a letter from mom or dad. If you need further information or have any questions regarding the Wee Deliver program, please feel free to contact Ellen Coulter.

Please remember that this is an in-house program and letters cannot be mailed out. Thank you for your assistance with a great program that I am sure will be a success.
